Introductory pricing The Storefront build is $9,900 until 30 September, and $19,900 from 1 October.
Online store setup

A shop costs money before you sell anything.

A digital store does not. No bond, no fitout, no rent while you wait for customers, no one standing behind a counter on a quiet Tuesday. We set the whole thing up: products, cart, checkout, payments, postage and the emails a customer gets after they buy.

Storefront from $9,900, in Australian dollars. Set up end to end, in your own accounts, and yours to keep. What a shop costs that a store does not

  • Built and configured, not a theme handed over half finished
  • Payments in your own account, in your name, into your bank
  • Checkout tested on real phones, where most orders and most losses happen
  • You are shown how to add a product, change a price and refund an order

Tell us about the business

A sentence is enough to start. If we are not the right fit we will say so and point you somewhere better.

We reply ourselves, usually within one business day. No follow up sequence if you go quiet. Or call +61 412 793 609. See our privacy policy.

Shop versus store

What a physical shop costs you before a single customer walks in.

We are not going to invent a number for your shop, because it depends entirely on your square metres and your street. Here is the list instead. Price your own, then compare it to ours, which is a real number and sits at the bottom of this page.

A physical shop

  • A lease, usually years, usually personally guaranteed.
  • A bond, commonly several months of rent, held and not earning you anything.
  • Fitout: floors, walls, lighting, counter, shelving, fitting room, cool room. Quoted per square metre and rarely once.
  • Signage, and council approval for it.
  • Rent from the day you sign, including every week you are fitting out and selling nothing.
  • Power, water, waste, internet, alarm, cleaning. Every month, open or not.
  • Insurance: public liability, contents, glass, business interruption.
  • A person behind the counter for every hour you are open, including the quiet ones.
  • Stock sitting in the room, paid for, waiting for someone local to want it.
  • Your trading hours as the hard limit on when anyone can buy from you.
  • Everyone who could ever buy from you has to be able to physically get there.

A digital store

  • No lease and no personal guarantee.
  • No bond.
  • The fitout is the build, and it is the number at the bottom of this page.
  • Your sign is your search result, and it does not need council.
  • Hosting on Cloudflare's edge in your own account. Small, and often nothing at your volume.
  • Payment processing, which is a percentage of what you actually sell, so it costs you nothing on a quiet day.
  • Website Care at $95 a month if you want somebody keeping it working. Month to month, and never a condition of the build.
  • Open every hour, including the ones you are asleep for.
  • Anyone you can post to can buy from you.

The honest part of this comparison. A shop puts you in front of people walking past, and a store does not. Nobody stumbles onto a website. That is the real trade: a shop buys you footfall with rent, and a store makes you go and earn the traffic. If you have no way of bringing people, a store on its own will be quiet. That is why the marketing is priced separately on this site and why we will tell you if you need it rather than selling you a store and going quiet.

What it costs

A rebuild is a build. These are the three.

Every one is a "from", because the number of pages and how much writing is needed move it. Send the address of the current site and you will be told which of the three it is, including when it is the cheaper one. Fuller detail is on the pricing page.

Up to 5 pages

Launch

from $2,400
  • Five pages or fewer, custom designed and written in code
  • Your existing words shaped and structured, not written from scratch
  • Mobile first, checked on real phones rather than a narrow browser window
  • An enquiry form with bot protection that is verified working
  • Technical SEO, hosting on Cloudflare's edge in your own account, and handover

Rarely the right answer for a rebuild. It fits when the old site was tiny, the words are already fine, and there is nothing in search worth protecting.

Up to 10 pages

Business

from $4,800
  • Up to ten pages, with a page per service or per area
  • Copywriting for every page, written out of a conversation rather than a questionnaire
  • Local SEO setup, including the Google Business Profile filled out properly
  • Analytics and conversion tracking proven against the live form, not just installed
  • Internal linking, sitemap and schema across the whole set of pages

Where most rebuilds land. Enough room for the services to stop fighting each other over one home page.

20+ pages

Authority

from $9,500
  • Twenty pages or more in a real structure, hubs with supporting pages
  • A trust centre: terms, entity details, policies and standards
  • Copywriting across the site, including the dry compliance pages
  • Edge functions, so the site can do things on the server rather than only display them
  • A build guard that fails the deploy if the wrong copy reaches the output

For a site that gets read sceptically: procurement, overseas buyers, regulated work, or a stranger who has never heard of you.

A rebuild is usually Business or Authority rather than Launch, and that is not an upsell. There is already content to carry across, addresses that customers and Google already hold, and redirects that have to be written page by page. Skipping that last step is what causes the drop in traffic people then blame on the new site.

What moves it above the "from"

  • More pages than the tier includes
  • A shop, a booking system, logins or payments
  • Nothing written yet, and nothing to work from
  • A migration where existing addresses and rankings have to be preserved
  • Several locations or service areas that each need their own page
  • Photography or video direction
  • Anything needing sign-off from your lawyer, insurer or head office

All prices in Australian dollars. If a few pages and a speed pass would fix what is actually wrong, that is what you will be quoted, and it is cheaper than any of the three above.

Work you can check

A charity site, before and after.

Daily Bread House take hot meals to people across Brisbane. Their old site had two menu items, no way to volunteer, and on a phone the opening sentence ran off the edge of the screen. It is now eight pages with a volunteer form that works.

Before · dailybreadhouse.org
The old Daily Bread House site: a photograph of a meal being handed over with the logo and a paragraph laid over it, and a two item menu reading Home and Shop.
After · dailybreadhouse.com
The rebuilt Daily Bread House site: the headline Caring is sharing over a photograph of people eating together, with Get involved and See the work buttons and a six item menu.

Also live and open to anyone: Southern Cross Provisions, Austera Global and Lantern Path Books. See all five builds →

How it works

Four steps, no mystery.

01

Understand the buyer

Who checks you out, what makes them hesitate, and what they need to see before they make contact. This decides the build, and it takes a conversation rather than a questionnaire.

02

Agree the first screen

The fold does most of the work. We settle that before anything else gets built, because if it does not hold attention the rest is never read.

03

Build and prove it

Written by hand, tested on real devices, and checked against the live page rather than the build output. A passing build is not evidence the site is right.

04

Hand it over properly

You own the site, the domain and the accounts. If you leave, nothing is held hostage.

A good fit

This suits you if

  • Your customer researches you before they call
  • You want one person accountable, not a team you never meet
  • The current site embarrasses you, or there is not one yet
  • You would rather hear an honest no than be sold to
Not a fit

Probably not if

  • You need it live this week
  • You want the cheapest quote in the inbox
  • You want a guarantee about rankings or leads. Nobody can honestly give one
  • You want a template filled in rather than something built for the business
Before you ask

The questions everyone asks.

My site is not broken, just old. Is that worth doing?

Often yes, and often not a full rebuild. Send us the address and we will say which. If a few pages and a speed pass would fix it, that is what we will quote.

Will I lose my Google rankings?

Usually not, if the redirects are done properly. Every existing page keeps its address or is redirected to the new one, page by page, which is the step that gets skipped and causes the drop. Nobody can promise a ranking will not move, but skipping the redirects is the thing that reliably loses them.

Can you work with the site I already have?

Sometimes. If it is on a platform that can be improved we will say so. If it is fighting you, a rebuild usually costs less than another year of patching.

What does it cost?

Launch is from $2,400 for five pages or fewer, Business from $4,800 for up to ten with the writing done for you, and Authority from $9,500 for twenty or more. Most rebuilds are Business, because there is existing content and existing addresses to carry across. Tell us the address of the current site and you will be told which one it is on the first reply.

Where are you based?

Australia, in Brisbane, and we work with businesses in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and New Zealand. If you are in North America your morning is our evening, so replies land overnight.
