Privacy policy

This policy covers watchroute.com, including the games at watchroute.com/games. It is written to be read rather than to be long.

Who we are

Watchroute is a trading name of Austera Global Pty Ltd, ACN 700 870 275, ABN 41 700 870 275. Postal address: Shop 2, 290 Boundary Street, Spring Hill QLD 4000, Australia (a virtual office for post; we work online from Brisbane). Contact: our contact page. Phone: +61 481 828 376.

What we collect, and why

Enquiries, audit bookings and the free pack. Your name, email address, phone number if you give it, your website address if you give it, and what you write. We use it to reply, to do any work you ask for and, if you asked for the free pack, to send it and occasionally the next free resource. Say stop at any time and we stop.

Which channel brought you to us. We do not keep our own record of how you reached us. When you send an enquiry or tap our phone number, the Google Ads conversion tag described below records that it happened, so we can tell whether an ad produced it. Your name, email address, phone number and message are not sent with it.

Measurement and advertising cookies. Our pages load Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion tags. Google may set cookies and receive information about your visit, the pages you view, and whether you sent an enquiry or tapped our phone number. The contents of your enquiry are not sent to Google.

Spam protection. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile. Cloudflare receives technical information about your browser and your IP address to check that a person is sending.

The free email check. Your browser looks up the domain you type in public DNS, through Cloudflare's public DNS service and, if that fails, Google Public DNS. We do not receive or keep it.

The AI receptionist demo. What you type or say goes to an AI model run by Cloudflare to produce the reply. We do not keep the conversation. A scrambled form of your IP address and a count of turns are kept for about 30 hours to stop abuse. Please do not enter real customer details.

The games. The game sends us technical details about each session: which game, how long, your score or progress, device and browser type, the referring page, and a random id made in your browser. Daily boards keep the short tag you enter and your score, with a scrambled form of your IP address and the day, for 40 days. Play counters keep a scrambled IP for about 36 hours. Progress is also saved in your own browser. None of this includes your name or email address, and the games show no advertising.

Fonts. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads.

Phone calls. We do not record calls to or from +61 481 828 376.

If we work together. Business contact details, invoices and what the work needs, such as DNS settings, account invitations and content you supply. Tax records are kept as long as the law requires.

We do not ask for card details, passwords, identity documents or health information through this website. Please do not send them.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We use these providers to run the site and the business, and your information may be processed outside Australia:

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to our professional advisers.

How long we keep it

Keeping it secure

We rely on our providers' security, use two factor sign in on our accounts, and never ask for your passwords. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach is likely to cause you serious harm we will tell you and, where required, the regulator.

Your choices

Contact us through our contact page and say which. No reason is needed. We reply within 30 days. You can also block or clear cookies and site storage in your browser and use Google's ad settings at adssettings.google.com. The site and the games work with these blocked.

Children

The agency pages are for businesses. The games at watchroute.com/games are played by people of all ages, including children. They ask for no name, email address or account and show no advertising. A parent or carer with a question about a child's play data can contact us through our contact page.

Complaints

Contact us through our contact page and say it is a privacy complaint. We aim to respond in full within 30 days. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Paid work is covered by our terms of service and use of the site by our website terms.
