Found by Google and ChatGPT within weeks.

Two websites for our own Australian export company, built for overseas buyers who check a supplier before they reply. Both were sending visitors from Google and from ChatGPT within their first weeks, to the exact pages buyers use to vet a company.

01 / The briefOverseas buyers check you before they reply

Austera Global is our own Australian export company, and Southern Cross Provisions is its premium food brand. Their audience is procurement managers and importers overseas: people who will not answer an email from an Australian company until they have checked that it is real, registered and serious.

So the job of these two sites was not to look pretty. It was to survive a stranger's due diligence, and to be findable when that stranger goes looking.

02 / What we builtTwo sites that answer the checks

  • A trust centre with company registration details, published commercial terms and a written supplier assessment standard, because buyers look for all three before making contact.
  • Pages written for each audience: international buyers, Australian producers, product categories and individual export markets.
  • Server rendered React on Cloudflare's edge, with every page prerendered so search engines and AI assistants can read it in full.
  • Bot protection on every form that fails closed. If the protection is ever misconfigured, the form refuses to send rather than silently letting spam through.
  • A build guard that stops the deploy if unverified copy or a private phone number ever reaches the published site.

03 / The quality passFixed before a buyer had to notice

We audited both sites line by line. We found and fixed 38 pieces of text below the WCAG AA contrast standard, the accessibility standard Australian government websites are built to, and copy clipping on phones on 12 of 20 routes. None of it would have shown up in a quick look on a desktop screen. All of it would have shown up for a buyer reading on a phone in a bright office.

04 / The resultsFound by Google and ChatGPT within weeks

Both sites went live in late July 2026. Between them they recorded about 590 real visits to early October, which is the right order of magnitude for a narrow business to business audience: these sites are not meant to attract the general public.

The ChatGPT line matters more every month. Buyers increasingly ask an AI assistant to shortlist suppliers before they ever open a search engine, and an assistant can only recommend a site it can read and trust. Prerendered pages and clear, factual company information are what made that possible.

The pages people read after the home page tell the same story. They went to the trust centre, the international buyers page, product categories and the supplier and producer pages: the checking pages, exactly as designed.

05 / What this study does not showA website starts a deal; it does not close one

These sites make the company checkable and findable. Export deals are then made in conversations, documents and calls, so we do not credit the websites with commercial outcomes here.

06 / The same plan for your businessWhat we would do for you

  • If your customers check you before they ring, give them the answers in one place: licences, insurance, reviews, real photos of real jobs.
  • Make every page readable by search engines and AI assistants, not just by people.
  • Test the site on a phone in bright light, and fix contrast and layout before launch.
  • Protect every form so it fails safe, and prove the protection works.

What this means for you

Start with the same measuring we do on our own businesses.

The $150 audit checks the three things every result above depends on: whether your email reaches the inbox, whether your enquiry form actually delivers, and whether your ad tracking actually records the enquiries it is paid to find. You get a written report either way.
